SILT Hosts Raj Patel and Friends

SILT was honored to host international author and activist Raj Patel in July as he and his Malawian guests -farmer Annita Chitaya and nurse Esther Lupafya - traveled the U.S. talking to Americans about what climate change is doing to their country and about the relations and roles between men and women in farming. SILT connected the film crew with young corn and bean farmer Tyler Franzenburg, veteran vegetable farmer Denise O'Brien and managed livestock farmers Ed and Tricia Jackson. SILT Founder Becomes Pesticide Action Network Chair
